Texas District and County Attorneys Association (TDCAA)

Texas District and County Attorneys Association - Main site

This site is an excellent resource for researching cases in Texas and understanding how the Texas legal system works.

TDCAA Books - TDCAA has excellent resources (books) available for purchase, including the Texas Penal Code and Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. For students, these books are the ones I show you in class which show new information added and removed from the previous legislative update.

The Texas Penal Code my students always ask about can be purchased from TDCAA. The entire Texas Penal Code is free to view and download from the links I provide on this page, but the nice printed books my students like are from TDCAA.

TDCAA Case Summaries - These summaries are similar to the assignments I give in classes. TDCAA summarizes the Issue and Holding of the court and provides their commentary on the case.

The Texas Prosecutor Journal - The Texas Prosecutor is the official journal of the Texas District and County Attorneys Association. It is published bimonthly and mailed to every prosecutor's office employee in the state; it is also available online here.
